When All Hell Breaks Loose and a Venomous Snake Bites You, Try This Emergency Alternative Medicine

venomous snake

It's a prepper's worst fear.

You've prepped for everything you can imagine: storms, power outages, criminals, martial law, foreign attack. An event occurs for which there can be no course of action but to bug out to a secret location and wait out the storm.

Out in the middle of nowhere, halfway between your destination and the town from which you came, a rattlesnake crosses your path. He bites. Now you have agonizingly painful venom coursing through your body and no way to rely on medical services to help you.

Your teammates, assuming you have any, are at a loss as to what to do. No one has stocked antivenin. With a limited shelf life and a cost of $10,000 per vial, to do so would have been foolish. Until now.

So what are you to do? Find out how to handle this horrific situation after the break…

I have none of these things. I though it was going to be something like, “take out your pocket knife, make a slit, use you belt (or whatever, to apply preasure, slide it, down your leg, to push the venom out.”

Sounds like bullshit to me. #3 is for certain bullshit. You never cut the fang holes because the venom can get into the blood through the cuts you just made.

Narrow leaf plantain also known as ribbed wort was used by Native American Indians for rattlesnake bites . It grows everywhere

Or just carry a stun gun or Taser- all snake venom, spider venom and bee venom has a negative charge. Hitting the bite/sting site with a jolt of electricity adds a positive ion and neutralizes the venom. Needs to be applied as soon as possible to be effective.

According to stats, most diamondback bites are dry. Venom is life to a snake, they won’t waste it trying to keep you from stepping on them!

This one looks like it’s yelling first. Maybe a warning before the strike.

Neurological venom spreads by nerve contact. Cutting and draining does little to nothing. Being calm is first. Neurological IE spiders, many, snakes, many. Read up….

If I even see one of these about to strike, I will be dead before I even feel the bite. Snakes scare the hell out of me!

  14. Don Johnsey said:

Yeah. We all carry activated charcoal and bentonite clay. No problem.

Tourniquet above, take a few Valium…..be cool be calm.. If no anti venom, this ride will suck. Seek medicine seek help. Never cut when it’s neuro venom. Best bet, avoid the snakes.

  16. Shawn Spanhake said:

Never do this all bull, never cut never tourniquet get medical attention. Tourniquet can cause loss of limb and cutting leads to higher chance of infection. Charcoal will not draw venom out

  17. Tim Brandt said:

I generally don’t carry activated charcoal. By the way, where can I get activated charcoal. I’m afraid what I have hasn’t been activated. Is there some place I could take it to get it activated?
