The Best States to Head to When All Hell Breaks Loose

best-places-to-bug-out-in-the-united-states

Just about every survivalist has a “bug-out” plan, a strategy for what to do when a survival crisis hits and it becomes necessary to move to a safer locale (or even to “bug-in”).

Less considered is where to go beyond “the camp” or some other predesignated safe space.

Is your bug-out location optimal for long-term survival? What obstacles and threats exist that would affect your quality of life? Where is the optimal place to go?

Those types of questions typically do not get asked, particularly if you already have a bug-out location in mind or in hand.

But knowing where to go in a survival situation or its aftermath is as important as knowing how to get there.

To find out one writer's opinion on where the optimal places to head in a survival situation are, check out the next page.

Yes come to ID and MT! The heavily armed ones that live there will welcome the extra loot, and the extra protein the city slickers will provide.

This is rather pointless. If shtf happens you’re not going to drive hundreds of miles to bug out. You’ll be lucky to drive 50 miles. Unless you already live near these places this won’t help.

Yes, heading into unfamiliar territory with equipment and foods strapped on the back or loaded in a car. THAT’S THE WAY TO GO!

And also believing that the people living there already will welcome you with open arms…

    Unbelievable…

You need to be very careful when saying “how stupid must one be”, because there is always that one who jumps up and shouts “challenge accepted!”.

I think everyone, everywhere is really in for a huge surprise when this happens.
If you think for a minute that anyone can truly be safe, unless you have the right knowledge, you are screwed. And the state where im from is on the list.
Stay from the states above that already have cannibal and rape on their minds.
Sounds like they have formulated a plan, have malevolent thoughts, and malicious intentions….

If the Pacific Northwest states are the bug out destination? Here’s an idea. Bug out to safety in your own state, and then fix the problems in your state. Don’t bring your big crime infested city problems west.

Northwest is too liberal. Ozarks is the place to go, before all hell breaks loose get a place to go to. It will be lock and load afterwards.

I think the people who wrote this is full of$#%&!@* It says stay away from coastal states because of rising water and storms and such and they turn around and put Louisiana on the list.

True. Than we would not have to deal with rhinos like Daines and Zinke

Michigan. We have water , oil , natural gas, fish, wild game, agriculture, and one hell of a militia . My home state. I’m not going anywhere

What a load of BS.. I live in the mountains of East Tennessee. plenty of water from natural springs, abundant game and fish, lots of places to plant survival crops (they don’t take a lot of flat land but we have that as well.) plus we have places where strangers go and are never heard from again. they drop off in some cave or a critter has them for lunch . Places that are easily defended even from aircraft are plentiful. Armor doesn’t work well in the steep hills and rock enclaves. Three or four people can hold off a company size attack. Lastly, most folks here know how to shoot and make each shot count and are survivalist at heart. Next place… Texas..

You can keep your northwestern libtard snowflake country. Just don’t come to Texas when y’all get overran
