This is called an “evaporative cooler” or “swamp cooler”. They work best in dry climates.

This isnt a/c its called a swamp cooler. If you have power, these already exist in a portable form.

These articles are getting less and less creative every day… This is stupid

The hottest molecules evaporate. Its just water vapors exchanging heat…

I wont work in humid areas.

    Only works in desert climates.

This works by water evaporation like a swamp cooler. The more humid the air is the less this will work. It works best in low humidity air of course.

listen this is not a good idea. you it may feel good for a time, but you make it harder on yourself by humidifying the air.
this would only be effective in a desert climate.

I made 2, I use them in my garage when working on my Harley. I freeze 2 3 liter sized bottles, Poland spring bottles work best. It drops the temp a few degrees and makes it a little more comfortable.

Yup tried this in a holler in KY. Only works if you have it in your lap, the ice alone would be more effective. Shouldn’t have ruined a bucket, could have used it to retrieve more ice. Live and learn.

dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide… not something you want to take in… in fact your body works to expel it every second of every day
