This is the USA. We have the right to bear arms. The officers should already be trained on how to interact civily with a civilian that is armed. They should just presume everyone is armed, it is our right to be, after all.

Jason Dominy, In my state you merely need a GED or diploma to become an officer. No extra schooling is required.
6 months is still too little.
