To paraphrase Shakespeare: “The mix is the thing.”! Take some advice from our knowlegable hostess and prep a dinner for five years in the future!

 


We were really impressed with her cookbook selections and plan to look them up on-line. We were also interested in her advice about egg noodles. Honestly, it had never occurred to us that there was such a significant shelf life!

Bottle storage and vacuumed sealed prepping is easy and a way to guarantee a good meal should the grid go down! As our esteemed hostess said: “If I can do it, you can do it!”

    If the mix is to be kept in storage long term, either put an oxygen absorber in each jar before putting on the lid or vacuum seal the jar. Individual packages for each cake can be made using Mylar or vacuum seal bags.
