One day we are moving along, going to our jobs, playing with the kids in the park, and maybe even taking a little “me time” down at the track or mall – then disaster strikes! We need to get home but it is not easy. But we will be okay because we have a Get Home Bag to aid us. What, we don’t? Then maybe it is time to prepare one!

The point is, you do not know where you will be when the SHTF and when it does – should you be miles away from your home and its bug in or bug out materials – you will want to get to them ASAP. What you need is some good pre-planning. Make a spare bag to have in your car or to take with you during biking or walks, something that will have all the supplies you will need to get home. Think this is unrealistic? Not at all!
