It's true: spiders are feared by people all around the world. The reason why? Well, there are many reasons, but if you think about it, their many legs, eyes, and their intricate webs don't help with the fear factor. However, if you were to ask a survivalist what they truly fear about a spider the most they likely will tell you it's because spiders can bite.
It's important to know that even though a spider can bite you doesn't mean that every spider bite will harm you. If you do get bit by a spider it's usually only as painful as a mosquito bite, but that still doesn't account for the itchiness and annoyance of the bite.
There are a few spiders in the world that can cause grave discomfort, however. Even if you're a prepper these are the types of spiders that make you pause when you talk about them. A brown recluse spider is such a spider and if a prepper were to get bit by one of these creepy crawlers not only would they need to go to the hospital, but they would need to receive the proper treatment right away.
But what happens when you're unable to receive hospital treatment because you're living off the grid?
After the break, check out what important steps you must take after getting bit by a brown recluse. Also, if you don't have access to a hospital, instead of being screwed, follow these important self-treatment steps.

Have your friends pee on it like a jelly fish sting…
I’ll save you the trouble of going through this website and all of their ads. Activated charcoal paste on the bike, eating plenty of econisha and bentonite clay on the wound. Bullshit ads never let you get to the point.

Had An uncle get bit by a Brown recluse, very painful, leaves an ugly scar.
Thanks, although, I did put up with the ads, to finish the story. These ads have become so overwhelming, I rarely read these posts anymore.
In most cases I go to the comments to see if someone as kind enough to post it. Thanks again.
I have activated charcoal tablets, you guys should put some in your camping bag!
It’s spell echinacea. Also know as purple cone flower. Hope that helps
If none of these things are available, you can take a hot ember from your fire, or a cigarette. It does hurt for sure, but it will stop the breakdown of tissue that occur from the poison. This should only be done if you have no other option, but its quite effective.
Cut out the poisoned area..

An ice cube is just as effective, a brown recluse’s poison degrades with excess temperature change.
agree with Dave ^^^*
Look up brown recluse look up venom e.r the brown recluse is no where near cali and is regularly mis diagnosed by doctors
ironic a guy complaining about bullshit ads giving people bullshit advice on how to treat a bite.
Keep some calcium bentonite clay on hand to use, and not just for spider bites either.
If you get bit don panic keep calm find a shade tree sit down relax and die like a man.

windex with ammonia. works wonders!
Making a paste out of denatured alcohol and the charcoal works well. Also making a paste out of denatured alcohol and gun powder if you dont have activated charcoal. Some claim the gun powder works better.
If this has been done and really proven to work cool, if not then yes go get medical attention… this article I read most of it and stopped when it said “could” cause the skin to dissolve and going to the hospital would probably not help things. Brown recluse spiders venom have enzymes in if which WILL cause necrosis if not treated and going to the hospital as soon as your bitten is highly recommended. Bites and stings you should seek medical attention from (that I know)
Brown recluse spider
Black widow spider
Bullet ant
Hawk wasp (not so much but you may want to make sure your going to be ok because it’s venom is extremely painful)
Giant wasp (even if not allergic still recommended)
Killer bees
That’s all I can remember.

Royal Jelly all day! I have seen that stuff heal up one wicker recluse bite that was festering bad like. A lady gave my buddy some and it cleared right up. Was crazy….
Awesome post.
