Okay, steel wool on a windshield is a horrible idea. That's what everybody with common sense knows without a doubt. But keep an open mind and you'll find that that is not exactly correct.
Using superfine steel wool is actually a well-known windshield-cleaning trick among car detailers, and it makes their lives a lot easier because it works.
Their time is valuable, because the faster they can get done polishing the dead bugs from your window, the faster they can get moving on to the next vehicle, and the more money they can make.

I have another great tip. To get rid of troublesome poop stains in the toilet, pour gasoline in it and light it….. No more stains!

0000 steel wool is the finest grade
Yeah don’t do this haha. Glass isn’t wood or steel. You will see the scrub marks and they will not come out. I have customers come in and ask all the time if there’s something they can do after they seen this and scrubbed their car windows with scotch brite or steel wool.

This is an old trick I did back in the 90s.
From a professional window cleaner, like myself, use 0000 steal wool. It will not scratch the glass.
Works good make you 0000

Destroy your windshield if you use the wrong steel wool. That’s what it can do. I hate click bait that doesn’t warn of the dangers of doing something wrong.
If you only clean your window every 2 years guessing that you turn it in as you were in a wreck
Just don’t use it on the inside Windows because of tints and films could get scratched
