This should not surprise anyone.

The Red Cross is often one of the first at the scene after a disaster and its volunteers have witnessed first hand what happens when you are prepared – and for most affected – when people are not.

Having a baseline survival kit is one way of making sure that whatever emergency, survival situation or SHTF crisis is encountered, all involved can make due until normalcy returns.
