When planning a survival kit — otherwise known as a bug out bag — we can beat ourselves up regularly when trying to make sure we have everything we need for any situation.
In truth, having the PERFECT bug out bag is next to impossible, as there will always be a situation when you get into your gear and you think, “Dang, I should have brought…” (insert that thing you need for this one situation here).
The trick to packing a good bug out bag is making sure you cover the essentials while still making the bag light enough to carry for a long period. Remember, the critical thinking behind a bug out bag is having just enough supplies to get you to your bug out location. That may be a cabin, a relative's house or even a bunker. Keeping this in mind will ensure that you pack just enough in your bag to get you to this location — with a little wiggle room for unexpected situations –without having so much gear that you are struggling to carry it long distances.

You should carry more in your mind than you do on your back. Thats to much gear people dont need that much to survive.
I agree. You must carry the knowledge of how to survive with you but also work smarter not harder. If I have a fire accelerant I’d much rather use that when I need it than to take time to make a bow drill

Knowledge sure. But a steel canteen, water filter, and purification tablets sure save time as to oppose fire hollow in a log and to collect water and using hot rocks to purify. Just as an example.
All that and no thermal blanket?
Carrie Ducheneaux. And carry some grammar and punctuation.
Heavy bro you can trim!
seems like a lot of useful stuff. The only thing I did not catch in the bag was a first aid kit. Did I miss that in the video? Or was it truly not there?

Please post a transcript of the video. I do not have much data time. A written list is also better to save so I can refer to it.
