What Creature Kills the Most People While Living Off the Grid?

mosquito itch

A shark has nothing on the following. It does not discriminate. Man, Woman or child. It kills without empathy. What is it?

The most deadly animal in the world is the mosquito. Mosquito bites result in the deaths of more than 1 million people every year. The majority of these deaths are due to malaria. The World Health Organization estimates that between 300 and 500 million cases of malaria occur each year. It's not the mosquito itself that kills, but rather a parasite the mosquito carries. You'll find the Anopheles all over the world, with the exception of Antarctica. The mosquito transmits malaria after biting an infected person and then passes along the parasite to the next person it nibbles on.

Perhaps we should not be surprised considering all we have heard about this danger worldwide.

However, in this day and age of vaccines, good eating, and the modern miracles of science it is still sobering to know there are some “off the grid” individuals who still succumb to the mosquito and the parasite that causes malaria. Until we can eradicate the effects of this tiny but deadly insect, the mosquito will continue to be the one creature we should fear most.

In other words, do not forget to carry repellent in your bug-out bag!

Wow! The first thing I thought when reading the headline was “Liberals”. I’m glad I read the article. Although I do believe Liberals are dangerous.

Good thing that we haven’t had a case of malaria in the U.S., you gotta be really careful if you go to Africa tho!!! I remember taking malaria pills for 7 months and a liver cleanser at the end of my deployment

You can 100% blame Oxitec a british Company here in the US. They release GMO mosquitoes of all varieties and WE are the guinea pigs. You dont even know they have labs here… Hell we didn’t know we had a lab here in the Florida Keys… Shocking since we are a very close nit community. They didn’t want to use British people as guinea pigs since they are family. https://www.facebook.com/NeverAgainKW/?fref=ts

Don’t think malaria so much as infection from scratching. Or some other allergic reaction.

Viruses and bacteria are the top killers in the wild next to good ol’ exposure to mother nature of course.
