The lesson here is that “you never know until you try” and it applies to just about every body of water on earth, which is why fishing in most survival situations is a good bet.

Fish present to the urban, suburban, rural and wilderness survivalist the best option they have in most cases for easily securing a source of protein.

That is not to say fish are easily caught, but if you combine angling with traps, your chances of getting a fish are much higher and much higher than catching and killing wild game.
