This idea makes us want to plan a wilderness trip just so we can build a fire and implement petroleum jelly! Excellent idea “Fat Guys” and we look forward to seeing more tips from these crafty gentlemen.
And don’t forget, this jelly is also good for dry lips, cuts, and has other healing properties!

There are other ways to light a fire in bad weather. I would not use my antibiotic ointment unless it was an extreme emergency.
First you should know the difference between a fire starter and a fire fuel. If it can’t cause a spark or flame it’s not a fire starter !
Have either use pill bottles or Altoids tins stuffed with cotton balls dipped in Vaseline in our BOB’s

Buy a tube of petroleum jelly at the dollar store, it burns just as well as the expensive stuff.
