(VIDEO) This Prepper Built a SHTF Bunker. When He Gives You a Tour? I Didn’t Expect THIS!

shipping crate shelter

If you’ve always wanted to set up your own bug out location, but still aren’t sure exactly what you want to live in during the end times, maybe you should consider converting a shipping container.

With a wood burning stove and peek holes to watch the chaos outside, the shipping container of one family offers the very best in creature comforts.

My favorite aspect of this bug out shipping container is the wood burning stove. Even though the shipping container isn’t insulated in any way, a stove in that small space should put out ample heat to keep everyone nice and warm when the temperatures start to dip.

The bed loft is also a great idea because it offers so much more space to the rest of the container. You could also modify this idea to suit your own tastes. Install walls of shelving for food or supplies. You could even install shelving for books; you never know how long you’ll end up being there.

Put it underground. It will be concealed, and insulated. Also more fortified! Put in to the side of a hill

You but you one of those and they crush under the weight of the helmet dirt. They are not structurally sound enough to bear the weight of being given buried

Just an observation or two; First if I were “assaulting” this “bunker” I would simply lock you in and build a huge fire next to it on the outside. Now you are trapped. Second the walls are too thin as he stated, “a 270 will blow a hole in it.” Finally there is a very high risk of CO poisoning and hypoxia; lack of Oxygen with the wood burning stove. Be prepared but be smart.

I am more and more convinced that an underground shelter is the best option.

I know that fresh air and waste is a concern

Every Prepper/Survivalist fiction book and movie or anything similar always has a structure getting searched when found for anything useful. Those structures that seem occupied are studied for attack.

On the other hand, the same books and movies always show somebody that pops up out of nowhere and just as quickly disappears. Only later is it discovered that they are underground.
