(VIDEO) This Prepper Built a SHTF Bunker. When He Gives You a Tour? I Didn’t Expect THIS!

What’s your idea of the ultimate prepper SHTF hideaway? A remote cabin in the faraway wilderness? An underground bunker with a submarine hatch? A panic room in the basement of your home? A relaxing bungalow on the beach (if you’re waiting for the world to end, you may as well do it in style and comfort)?

What about a shipping container? And no, we don’t mean a rusted out and buried container in the ground. This family decided that the ideal bug out hideaway was a converted shipping container.

It offers protection, plenty of space for the family to stretch out a bit, room for just enough supplies, and offers the added benefit of being resistant to bullets! Check it out on the next page.

Put it underground. It will be concealed, and insulated. Also more fortified! Put in to the side of a hill

You but you one of those and they crush under the weight of the helmet dirt. They are not structurally sound enough to bear the weight of being given buried

Just an observation or two; First if I were “assaulting” this “bunker” I would simply lock you in and build a huge fire next to it on the outside. Now you are trapped. Second the walls are too thin as he stated, “a 270 will blow a hole in it.” Finally there is a very high risk of CO poisoning and hypoxia; lack of Oxygen with the wood burning stove. Be prepared but be smart.

I am more and more convinced that an underground shelter is the best option.

I know that fresh air and waste is a concern

Every Prepper/Survivalist fiction book and movie or anything similar always has a structure getting searched when found for anything useful. Those structures that seem occupied are studied for attack.

On the other hand, the same books and movies always show somebody that pops up out of nowhere and just as quickly disappears. Only later is it discovered that they are underground.
