(Video) This Prepper Bugged Out in a Thunderstorm. Check Out Some of the Invaluable Tips He Offers Us!

hammock tarp and fire during storm

We think anyone who has camped out in bad weather will empathize with Joe. He is one part fearful, two parts business, and three parts excited at the prospect of spending the night in a storm with nothing between it and him than a tarp, a hammock and, God willing, some good fortune!

Instead of being bummed-out by the approaching thunder storm Joe embraced it! He was like a little kid in a candy store! Honestly, we are not sure yet how well his hammock and tarp system worked against the wind and rain but he appeared quite confident!

It may be up to a future video for us to see how well he did with little storm gear, a couple of beers, and a lot of tenacity! If nothing else Joe was certainly up for the challenge!

Don’t think for one second that you can go out and be in the rain and not get wet. Anyone who says you can is wrong. It’s better to have a plan for drying out than to have a plan for not getting wet. One of the best things to carry with you is the small, small can of WD40. Use it sparingly but keep your folding saw from rusting first, then everything else. It’ll also help you to get a fire going.
