(VIDEO) This is What You Should NEVER Be Caught Wearing Post Collapse. If You Do, You’ll Never Stand a Chance

what to wear during a collapse

In this episode of “What Not To Wear,” we look at the absolute worst wardrobe mistakes you can make when entering a SHTF situation.

When the bubble bursts and we all find ourselves entering back into the Stone Age again, many of us will be tempted to retreat to the woods and live out our days away from the rest of the decaying society. If that's your thought, more power to you. In that instance, it may be beneficial to have good camo at your bug out location so that you can hunt and survey your property without being seen by prying eyes.

However, if you are planning on leaving your home in the city dressed to the nines in full tactical gear, camo shirt and pants, and a military grade face mask and an assortment of weapons, guess who's the first one to get shot?

Yup, it's you.

To learn why donning full tactical gear in a SHTF situation is a really bad idea, take a look at the video on the next page.

Best bet, wear whatever you want and get the hell out of the immediate danger zone. And FYI when the looting starts they will be shooting anyone who gets in their face

“When you are in the woods, black does not stick out” This guy is a full blown idiot.

I have been saying this for years. I wear tac clothing all the time, but I keep jeans and a t-shirt in my car. Not to mention the cheep Walmart back pack, for my get home bag.

Truthfully any solid color will stand out… and after hunting bear and wild hogs I can attest black does stand out against the year round green the the south GA swamps.

But WHAT Will REALLY Get YOU Spotted IS motion… EVERY Animal I’ve ever shot I Saw It’s movent , a hunter is keyed by movement.

True, depending on the speed. I have had deer creep so slowly, that I didn’t spot them until an ear or tail twitch.

What kills me in his ignorant rant is that I will not be accosted in my camo, unless I want to be. In full dress and battle rattle, I can disappear in any wooded environment. Also, if I am walking around in the open with camo on, there won’t be many people capable of accosting me the way he worries about it.

Just dress like Joel from the Last of Us, a flannel shirt and jeans lol

Post collapse the law enforcement will most likely be with their loved ones protecting them, not surfing the streets looking for bad guys. National guard, that’s a different story. There may be a few that run for home, but a lot will do their job.

I dress super tactical ALL THE TIME, ready for action ANY TIME. The air soft and paintball war can start at a MOMENTS NOTICE GOTTA BE TACTICAL!

I hope you have an eotech on every weapon you own too. Gotta get those weekend practices in with the amateur swat team.

Like the guy who wears, “I train at Joe’s TaeKwonDo”. I just draws attention to you.

I like a large gray student back pack with no writing on it . I don’t think a photo bag would work well because now days they hate it when you take there pictures .

All good points but i would avoid a checkpoint at all cost in any bug out situation. As a marine i know there is always a way to slip though the cracks. Avoid people at all cost.

No one is checking my gear inside my perimeter . I’m only going out if need be and that’s a long time from when the$#%&!@*hits the fan.

Plain and ordinary will help you hide in plain sight. Just don’t draw attention to yourself regardless what you wear.

I have always told people that tactical or camo/hunting gear in a shtf situation is only going to tell people you will definitely have stuff they want even if you don’t have a damn thing. Your ego should never override common sense but there are many out there that will still do it because it makes them feel badass. All it does is make you a target for getting dead. Blend in with the masses. make yourself look as unthreatening and never ever show any one what you got. Always look like you aint got s**t.

Military clothing is designed for comfort, facilitating movement, and cover. Your chances of survival increase due to each one of these points. I understand your dedication to our Constitution but I did serve in the military. I know what works and doesn’t work in a survival situation. You don’t.

All kidding aside Alexander Robert Monaghan. I’ve got kids , so by default I’ve got a spongebob backpack buggy.

Maybe just regular cloths and regular looking luggage. Tells everyone you are just trying to leave the area.

If you’re not outside the cities by now you won’t make it out here. Harsh reality I know but the mountains aren’t for everyone. Practice, practice, practice! You can’t practice living in the wild if you still live in the city.

It will be civil war and a revolt against a corrupt government before they are going to attack us. Which means we can blame tge liberals for the systematic teardown of society.

Almost any worst case situation will escalate over time, be it short or not, thats when i think i would begin getting away from urban and heavily populated suburban areas if possible. Im doing my best to buy some secluded land in my state.

  27. Michael Martin said:

Rip away basketball pants and an oversized hoodie, both in subdued colors. Goes right over camo and your plate carrier.

  28. Jeff Gallup said:

True but if i own it now i can at least secure it as much as possible. It will at the very least be safer than the urban like area im in now.
