(Video) This Cougar Attack Was Unexpected. Where it Took Place? This is Crazy!

cougar attack

Long has man feared the other predators in the food chain. Not because of the competition for food, but because we're genuinely concerned about being taken down a few notches.

All around the world, some of the most feared predators are the big cats: jaguars, lions, cheetahs, leopards and tigers all send a chill down the spine of anyone who happens to see them out in the wild. Why? Because we have to sleep sometimes, and the cat knows it.

In North America, we have our own big cat, the mountain lion, and it's just as stealthy and just as terrifying as any other.

Although rare, attacks by mountain lions do occasionally occur, and they often do so without warning or provocation.

When a man saw two mountain lions cross the path in front of him, he immediately knew something was up; it was only a matter of time before they made their intentions known.

Watch his crazy experience on the video on the next page.

That increases heart rate in a hurry. Bear spray works, sometimes. Personally, I see Cougars, I am not going that direction for a while.

Yes & next it will be 3! Anything to suck you in a little bit further past more advertisements. When we draw the line is when they’ll quit adding to it!!!

Cougars have been seen within a couple of miles of our hunting property, so all of us carry firearms when on the property. What scares me most is the possibility of an attack when we are walking in to our stands before sunup.

Dean Whitmire I hope this don’t happen to you while you’re out for a run!

How is it that he just happened to have his phone and spray at the ready for a cougar that was supposedly stalking him? How did he know to start filming before the supposed attack?

First of all the dickhead went right to were the Cougars were seen. Looking for them with his spray out ready to go. Maybe if he would have just let them be everything would have been fine.

  12. Jim Dunn said:

I agree but what do you think the cougars will do next time they suspect a human

  13. Mark Gatton said:

Soo, he sees them cross the raod in front of him and continues on anyway. Efing idiot.

I keep telling people that if we quit clicking on these, the advertisers will realize they’re wasting $$, and things will change…

Did anybody see a cougar I didn’t all i saw was weeds getting sprayed!

  16. Scott Christopher said:

I thought the same thing, but perhaps that was the only clear way to get back to his house or his car. I certainly wouldn’t want to have to cross through woods to go a longer distance with them in the area.

  17. Scott Christopher said:

Allen Foraker He started filming after he saw them the first time. Then he got his camera and bear spray out and they came back towards him out of the brush.

  18. Scott Christopher said:

Jimmy Gibson I don’t mean any disrespect, but wasp spray for self defense has been disproven. Please reconsider. There’s a lot of video samples on the web now that clearly shows that wasp spray does nothing for a motivated attacker.

I thought the same thing, but perhaps that was the only clear path back to his house or car. The alternative is to take a long way around through woods. I woudn’t do that if I knew they were in the area. I’d want to have open space around me, and with bear spray and a firearm, I think this was probably his best bet…at least based on what we know of the encounter.

Guns are great but when there’s a split second to act, bear spray gives you a lot more room for error.

Guns are good to have, but when you’ve only a split second to act bear spray leaves a lot more room for error.

  22. James Burris said:

There was a grizzly bear attack on a guy I think it was on October 2nd in Montana. He used bear spray and it didn’t work. I sure you can find it if you Google it

  23. Mark Gatton said:

Then what did he do. He said he saw them cross the road in front if him

  24. Steven Sanderson said:

They want to release mountain lions in Jersey, in places like West Milford and Ringwood to control the deer herd. Dont just extend the hunting season, endanger the public, thats the political solution…..

  25. Rick Davidson said:

    1) See cougars = go home!

    2) Need to carry bear spray = stay home!

    3) Need to carry a gun for protection from bears and cougars = are you serious? You go, I’ll watch Forest Gump run in re-runs.
