(Video) This Cougar Attack Was Unexpected. Where it Took Place? This is Crazy!

cougar attack

Ask anyone who spends time out in the wild and they'll be likely to tell you that the one predator they never want to meet is a mountain lion. Why? Because you can't predict what a mountain lion will do. Check out the video below to see just how unexpected they can be.

This man was lucky on three levels. One: he saw the lions cross the trail a long ways ahead of him. Two: he was carrying bear spray. Three: he was also carrying a gun, which he luckily didn't have to use.

Mountain lions tend to attack lone prey, and prefer to attack from behind, so if you ever find yourself in this situation, do exactly as he did and keep your eyes on the predator until you're a good ways away from it. Also, don't hesitate with the bear spray; the second you see that beast coming towards you, unleash hell.

Man I guess when he goes in the ocean… Over hear is a great white shark lets go toward it so I can poke it with my spear. So in a couple of years when he is mauled by a cat or bear…. His spray must havewas jamed while chasing the preditor

I didn’t see anything except this guy spraying brush. And what intelligent human being continues into the path of two cougar after seeing them?

So why did he walk straight past it? You can see it on the side of the path there at about 25 seconds and he walks straight past it, then turns round and sprays it. Was he just looking so hard at the two ahead of him that he didn’t see the third one right next to him?

He’s lucky to be alive. Good thing he was being aware of his surroundings and ready to defend himself. That one that lunged at him was obviously hiding in the brush and waited for him to walk by to attack from behind. You don’t see stuff like this every day. Ty for the footage.
