Survivalists are unique when compared to the majority of society; we see a need to be prepared and try to address it.

If, though, you are finding you are a distinct minority among your friends and acquaintances, you should work with fellow survivalists to plan a weekend outing.

Ideally, everyone would understand the need to prepare for a larger survival scenario and we could all work together to make sure collectively, everything is covered.

We are humans, however, and that means that the majority will not appreciate the need for preparation until a survival situation rears its ugly head.
