The couple in the below video have obviously been canning for a long while. They have all the implements and, with their homey charm, want to tell us all their canning secrets!
We always wondered what spices would be good to place inside of canned tomatoes; salt, lemon and maybe a few preferred spices? Really, when it comes down to it you want to put in there whatever it is you think will taste good.
Honestly, we would just love to taste those canned tomatoes on pasta! Yum!

I have canned my weight in those things over the years.
I agree with canning tomatoes. But check expiration dates on the MREs. Yes they do have them and yes the food does go bad.
