It’s a constant Winter struggle. You wake-up in the morning, prepare to go to work, then look outside and see that snow is on the ground. That can mean only one thing – someone has to go out and clean off the windshield before you go.

You may look over a shoulder at the spouse, but she is preparing breakfast. The kids? Nah, they’re just waking up to go to school.

As usual it’s up to you – but what is the best way to get it done? Miserably, you recall last year when pouring a bucket of hot water only made things worse. There’s got to be a better way!

Go on over to the next page and take a look at a video that will give you some great tips on how to clear away the snow and ice on your windshield with little to no fuss!

Rainbow anti-iceing agent is used in aircraft cockpit windows.
The rainbow color streeks are extremely corrosive to the aircraft aluminum, and the only thing that can clean it off is the only thing that is more corrosive to aluminum, Coca-Cola.

For my car I just cover the windshield with a towel. When it snows or frosts just pull up towel, throw in a grocery bag, jump, and go.

Taxes are higher, Congress is taking our freedoms and our government is in tyranny. Maybe DIDO. Lazy, scared, pussified Americans are to scared to take over Congress and government. Where’s the patriots? You say lazy and work a little hard. Well we wouldn’t have to work harder and harder the rest of our lives if only a few thousand Americans stood up and fought back. But no one wants to stand up. Because your lazy!!!!

I heard from someone that rubbing alcohol works. I would think that could hurt the paint

I’ve used an old bed sheet with the wipers in the up position and covered the windshield using the wipers to hold down the bed sheet.

It will curve to the window cause it freezes but never froze to the window or anything.

And I would start it up and turn on the defrost to clear the fogging

Then I put a little rubbing alcohol in the washer tank to keep it from freezing

Sigh. I hate having read several pages of advertisements to get to a one paragraph story. Thank God I live in Texas and don’t have to deal with that.

Use Rain-x before it snows. It makes it easy to scrape the ice off. Deicer works well too. If you don’t have any you can make your own. Use one part water and one part alcohol (alcohol doesn’t freeze).

Pretty easy solution: If you have to be someplace, go out to you vehicle early enough to clean it off properly. If it takes 20 minutes to get where you are going in the winter, don’t go out 20 minutes and 30 seconds before hand, then complain about it.
