Being able to tie a bowline knot with one hand is a skill that you may never use, but if you need to use it you will be grateful you knew how to tie it.

If you have to tow anything, from wood to hauling something out of the water, a bowline knot is the way to go.

Being able to tie the knot with one hand is not a skill you will use often, but if your other hand is otherwise occupied, knowing how to tie it with only one hand can be invaluable – it does take practice to master, though.
