You are alone in the wilderness without a tool or weapon to your name. What do you do? Be inventive. Often being a survivalist depends on a man or woman’s ability to see what is around them and make it work. For example:

The first thing we asked ourselves was how was he going to keep the stone inside of the wood handle? It’s not as if he has glue – unless he makes it – and just how powerful could it be? Then he brings out the shoestring. That’s ingenious, of course. What else? Nearly everyone has shoestring or some other kind of twine in their backpack. Or, if they don’t, they should!

This is a clever and simple video, one you should show to the family. One day maybe the kids can make their own wilderness axe… But yeah, make sure you supervise and advise them.
