(Video) How to Construct an Explosive Tripwire Alarm

flashbang tripwire

You've worked hard to prepare the things you have, taking care of your land and amassing food and stores with careful planning and focus.

When SHTF, though, all of that work is at risk. Sure, that time is what you have been preparing for, but it is also then that others will attempt to seize all that you've gained through hard work and perseverance.

An easy way to solve this problem is just to arm up, right? Well that's all well and good, but nobody can keep a constant watch on every inch of their borders 24 hours a day.

Eventually, you will get tired and need to catch some shuteye. Even if you trade shifts with others in your survival party, it's in your best interest to have another way to monitor the perimeter.

That's where a tripwire comes into play. Just to be sure you hear it, let's make it an explosive tripwire. Check out the instructive video on the next page.

Tell us more about the FM you read online from your mom’s basement. Cameras don’t prevent or react to anything.
Your “well aimed shots” are impossible to achieve while asleep or away from the area being monitored.
How many people do you currently employ for that watch schedule at your house?

How many times have any of you conducted servaillence, in an area where you have 6 maybe 12 guys on your side against an overheating enemy force?

As I said earlier, this improvised device would work in some situations but I wouldn’t waste matches in a survival scenario. In regards to you Patrick Amie, I have my brothers…

    I didn’t count the times. I wasn’t a POG. It was a common occurrence.

Man, there’s a lot of people in this country that probably be taught these tricks. I’m honestly thinking it’s time we start keeping some if this$#%&!@*secret, just so it doesn’t into the wrong hands and causes more problems. I’m a martial artist/ instructor (just private lessons now days) and as much as I want to teach people some really bad$#%&!@*s**t, I have to know what kind of person they are and if they can hold it responsibly. It’s good to teach the general public the “old ways” and I consider it to absolutely necessary to all ‘out all survival’. I know “everything, and then some” is on the internet these days and it’s basically too late to do anything about it, but again I feel like sometimes we’re just throwing fuel on the wrong fire, if you asked me. It’s handy stuff yes, potentially ‘life saving’, but it some cases can be used as a weapon. In a practical setting, this would ‘trip’ a perimeter device, visual and/or explosive etc. Problem is, some dumb$#%&!@*will likely use this one on some poor innocent bastard, or 20+.. who knows.. So, there’s my 2 cents..

This is pretty lame. If you’re going to spend all the time energy & money on all those supplies, why not just buy a box of pull string firecrackers & tie them to a trip wire. Pow. Done.

They can watch me all they want, just means when they come, they will come hard. I either won’t survive or get some badass$#%&!@*when they’re all dead, rahkill

Can we hold off on anything explosive for a few weeks until all this bombing stuff gets sorted out. You know how sensitive Facebook is lately

Just put together a zip gun and use blanks for a nail gun. Several calibers larger than .22 for louder report.

Adapted “party popper” can be made much smaller for trip wire devices. We use them in WWII reenacting all the time.
