Our host is fortunate enough to live on land that creates exactly what he needs in an earthbag home; sand and clay. Along with obtaining a great deal on much-needed some supplies, he is well on his way to creating the perfect home!

Our host was very upfront about how he was building inexpensively because he was fortunate enough to get many of his materials, including 3000 sacks, cheaply before the price went up. And, let’s face, often that is what good shopping is all about. You go out, look for a quality bargain then carpe diem (seize the day)!

The idea of building an earthbag fortress is sound and considering all the benefits, especially during a SHTF scenario, we cannot truly find fault with his new home. We look forward to one day seeing the final project!
