When someone breaks into your house, you don't have time to think about what sort of weapon you'll use to defend yourself. You need something right now; something that will end the encounter quickly. Here's why that weapon should be a shotgun.
Of course, for some people a shotgun won't be as ideal of choice. If you feel more comfortable with a handgun in your grip instead of the bulky 12 gauge, then, by all means, grab a pistol.
However, as the video explains, you will be far more likely to end the encounter much more quickly with a heavy dose of buckshot than with the majority of handguns.
Another benefit is that the pellets are less likely to travel through the walls of the house than a bullet, meaning others in your home will be far safer if you arm yourself with a shotgun.
Plus, nothing sends criminals scrambling like the pump action of a shotgun.
If you plan to discharge a shotgun in the close quarters of your hallway or bedroom you may want to get comfortable with using the phrases “huh?” and “what?” You’re going to be saying a lot of that in the future. Best advice I can give is keep your mouth open and the shock wave will pass though your head better
357 mag will make you say huh also lol
Mark, ya it will. Personally for home defense I like my suppressed .22 I like to get the whole crew, not just pop one and send the rest running
And I don’t even wake the neighbors
Anyone who’s says a .22 is weak has never had one in their throat
The use of a shotgun in close quarters will have consiquenses if you don’t practice close quarters. Things like hearing and vision will be effected. The old addige practice practice practice. Hearing protection and ear glasses is really Essential.
Or just get a shotgun with a suppressor, it lowers the noise dramatically.
Effective. Controlled range.
Pfft pfft. They didn’t hear what hit em.
A 12ga or 410?
Would really put on eye and ear protection in a home defense situation? That seems odd
Blow your ears out and lose your sight, don’t matter to me….
