You're sleeping peacefully in your bed, dreaming away the night after a long hard day at work. Suddenly you hear a crash as the glass window near the back door is smashed in so some lowlife can reach in and unlock the deadbolt.
You jump out of bed, adrenaline pumping through your veins as you hear multiple footsteps roaming through your house, grabbing everything not bolted down.
The footsteps get closer and closer to your bedroom, and you realize that in just moments one of the burglars is going to open your bedroom door.
Will they be armed? And with what? It could be a knife, or it could be a gun.
They could scramble when they see you awake, but you can't take that risk. You need a weapon, and you need it NOW.
Here are a few reasons you should make that weapon a shotgun, and how that decision may just save your life. Take a look on the next page.
If you plan to discharge a shotgun in the close quarters of your hallway or bedroom you may want to get comfortable with using the phrases “huh?” and “what?” You’re going to be saying a lot of that in the future. Best advice I can give is keep your mouth open and the shock wave will pass though your head better
357 mag will make you say huh also lol
Mark, ya it will. Personally for home defense I like my suppressed .22 I like to get the whole crew, not just pop one and send the rest running
And I don’t even wake the neighbors
Anyone who’s says a .22 is weak has never had one in their throat
The use of a shotgun in close quarters will have consiquenses if you don’t practice close quarters. Things like hearing and vision will be effected. The old addige practice practice practice. Hearing protection and ear glasses is really Essential.
Or just get a shotgun with a suppressor, it lowers the noise dramatically.
Effective. Controlled range.
Pfft pfft. They didn’t hear what hit em.
A 12ga or 410?
Would really put on eye and ear protection in a home defense situation? That seems odd
Blow your ears out and lose your sight, don’t matter to me….
