Going into this article we began to think about the throw-away things a regular person has laying around the house. These are the items that have outlived their usefulness and it's easy to just toss them out into the trash or recycling without thinking about how we can use them as preppers or homesteaders.

This brought us to pondering wine and wine bottles. While we are not the biggest drinkers in the world there are many men and women out there that do like to have the occasional glass of wine, maybe a bottle or two of their favorite alcoholic beverage a week.

Yet, after it’s all done, we eventually just toss those bottles away without thinking about what can be done with them as a hack.
