From the looks of it our host is in for some good maple syrup this winter. Let’s watch how he taps it!
He creates his own spiles and/or spigots out of scrap wood and somehow makes it look very easy! It probably is more difficult than it appears but, with a little practice, we may be able to do the same someday!
Keep an eye out for some potentially healthy sap-filled maple trees in the wilderness area you live near and – if legal – tap it when the time comes! Before you know it you will be the king or queen of mapeling!
