(Video) He Pours Dish Soap into His Toilet. When He Demonstrates Why? I Ran to Try It!

We’ve all had that problem at one time or another. You flush the toilet and, well, it doesn’t do what it is supposed to do. You watch the water in the bowl come up to the brim, praying there will not be an overflow, but then it sits there for minutes.

Eventually, the water will drain but you know it will do the same thing next time you flush. Your bathroom floor may not escape the flood that can potentially come from your overflowing toilet!

Let’s just say “Yuck!” and get it over with. You try plungers – we did! – but sometimes it just does not work.

However, on the next page, we have a gent who shows us a great way to get your toilet bowl back into working order. It takes a little patience but it does work!

We have used this method more than once and it clears the clogged toilet up with nothing more than hot water and dollar store dish washing liquid, thus allowing us to breathe a little easier.

As a homesteader and prepper, you have enough problems in your busy day. Worry about your toilet should not be one of them! Go check it out!

This has been posted multiple times in the past month. Stop regurgitating bs life hacks. Unfollowing soon to happen.

It’s doesn’t harm it as most soaps now are bio degradable or enviro friendly ones.

As a plumber for the past 21 years, I would NOT recommend doing this. If you have a clogged toilet, try the plunger first. Get real people, it’s your$#%&!@*matter. Get over it. If a plunger doesn’t work there is no way Dawn dish soap is going to magically make the clogg go away. If your plunger doesn’t work you can try a closet auger. They sell them at Lowes and Homodepot. The key point to all of this is that you can fix your clogges yourselves if it’s close to the toilet. If the clogg is further away you WILL have to call a plumber. “I don’t want to pay all that money” (pretend you just said that in a whiny voice) My answer, don’t use half a roll of toilet paper to wipe your butt. Also, don’t put ANYTHING in the toilet other than toilet paper and$#%&!@*matter. If a product says it can be flushed, DON’T!

Didnt have a plunger and had to act fast lol. I bathe with dawn so i just grabbed it and skeeted some in the bowl. A second or two later the water sucked right down.

Your just moving the obstruction further down the line. A plunger is a couple bucks at most, pulling a busy plumber off a big job for this is just inefficient.

“other than toilet paper and$#%&!@*matter” where am i supposed to pee?

If it’s a “natural” clog as opposed to junior’s toy truck, just use a bucket of water. Obviously you need to wait till the bowl drains. Just pour the bucket into the center of the bowl. Works every time….. unless you haven’t been eating your fiber.

That may be true but what about hot water wrecking the seal on the bottom of the toilet?

  11. Randy Wood said:

That seal is heavy, thick wax. A flush of hot water wouldn’t bother it in the least.

The best way I know to unclog a toilet is to take a five gallon bucket of water, hold it up over the toilet and pour. I’ve never had it NOT work!
