When bugging out when SHTF, preppers need to be aware of facts about wolf spiders so they can stay away from these dangerous creatures.

One of the most important things every prepper should know about bugging out is what lives in the environment they may be living in.

Many of these animals and creatures made their homes in nature before a collapse, and they might not all take kindly to having their home invaded by us.

You should have knowledge about what creatures you made come across and whether or not they are harmless or could be threatened by you. Many of us think that we only have to watch out for the animals like bears or snakes, but some spiders can be just as dangerous as well.

The amazing video on the next page reveals facts about wolf spiders that will remind us that just because they are small, doesn't mean they can't and won't do us harm.

If we learn as much as we can about these spiders and where they live, we can make sure we stay as safe as possible during a disruptive event. Having this knowledge will definitely make any prepper's life much easier!

I hope this wasn’t intended to make wolf spiders seem scary or dangerous. They are actually pretty passive creatures and can be useful for bug management around a shelter. I’ve even kept one in a tent for 10 weeks to kill things I would rather not have in its place. We got along fine. Their bites can’t even hurt you. You literally just need an ice pack if you got one. Not even something to bandage. If not, this is a stupid post encouraging the further dissolution of fact to nature.

Thank you for clearing that up because I know nothing about spiders except that I don’t like them. But with my work, I have gotten more used to being around them than I was previously.

Wolf spiders are harmless. Been around wolf spiders all my life and have never been bitten or worried when I see a wolf spider. That was clickbait of the highest order.

Thanks for the tip. But after watching the movie Arachnophobia, I tend to stay away from ‘ALL’ spiders.

Neat video to watch but serous overkill. Wolf spiders hold no real threat what so ever

Wolf spiders pose little to no threat. So why make a post suggesting otherwise? I thought y’all were here to inform and prepare…not make up some scare tactics. Damn y’all are as bad as the government.

Uhhhh you failed to mention why humans need to stay away from these “dangerous” spiders., #failedpost #tryharder

Do you admins even watch what your posting?? Wolf spiders are harmless. They aren’t aggressive to humans and are not venomous. How about a video about the dangers of butterflies and rainbows next

If things are so bad that I have to leave my home and flee for my life, wolf spiders are going to be pretty far down on the list of things I have to worry about

The American variety of Lycosidae are not nearly as dangerous as their Australian cousins. For one, they do not grow as large. A bite from an Australian Wolf Spider can cause a painful, slow healing wound whereas the same bite from the American variety is akin to a bee sting in a relative manner. That is, annoying localized pain lasting around 10 minutes. Unless the bite becomes infected, or an individual has an allergic sensitivity, its realitvely harmless. These bad boys are aggressive and will chase you down if they feel threatened but for the most part, they’ll leave you alone if you leave them alone.

This is garbage advice, I guarantee you this critter is in more danger from me eating it than I am from whatever dangerous fate awaits me from our encounter,c’mon get real here…..

And this makes wolf spiders dangerous? Wolf spiders are very beneficial in many ways and totally not dangerous to humans.

Wolf spiders? Better think about black widows. And brown recluse spiders! Wake up!

Where exactly you going to bug out to. There is no new unexplored lands to go to. Unless you have a rocket that’ll take you to the next earth like planet. Lol

Not reading the article because the headline is a crock. Wolf spiders get a pass in my house, unless the dog catches them. It’s hard to get one to bite you; I haven’t managed to since I had baby teeth, and it didn’t really hurt me then.

They do tend to carry bacteria in their mandibles, always best to disinfect a bite. I was recently working in a crawl space in the country. I saw quite a few while down there for three working days. I just remained careful about where I layed and put my hands. No problems at all while down there (was a bit cool, kept them slow moving) honestly I don’t mind them. They tend to eat smaller more dangerous to people similar vermin. ..just my 2 cents. 🙂

So, what is so fearsome about these? Seems they aren’t inclined to prey on humans, and I don’t resemble a grasshopper.
