Basically, old extension cords can be used anyway you would  use rope or actual cordage. But while most other types of cordage or rope will fray, rot or break if exposed to elements, extension cords are durable and in many cases stronger.

As the video showed it is critical you have several types of extension cords, including some that you can re-purpose for other survival uses.

I can think of several different types of uses for old extension cords. How about you?
