There are many articles and videos out there telling us how to get prepared for a SHTF scenario and we truly appreciate the advice. Often, we learn things we hadn’t considered before, which is the point!
However, there are things that some would-be preppers do that are not quite suitable. Maybe they think themselves above and beyond other survivors, that it will work out for them in the end, despite the probable opposite. Or perhaps they’ve simply been ill informed. It happens!
Yet, if we think a little deeper about what we are preparing for, how we will sustain ourselves, we and they might not be so eager to do many of the things done.
We understand that prepping and surviving is a learning process. For some of us, in this age of plenty, prepping is not as instinctual as it is for others.
On the next page, we have a great video that pinpoints some of these attitudes and faults. Watch and listen to it carefully. Perhaps you will see yourself and realize there must be adjustments!

Spot on, especially about the GPS and map, compass reading. I watched an episode of survivorman, where the host forgot to turn off his GPS and had no compass.
