Modifying tools to serve individual purposes has long been a hobby of people in every profession. Being a prepper is no different. All preppers have different ideas about what is most important in their gear and how they will make use of all of their supplies in the event of a SHTF situation.

In this case, a man was disappointed that the mini Bic lighter he wished to use for his bug out bag wouldn't fit properly in the Altoids tin he wanted to use for a mini survival kit.

To make up for this, he decided to modify the lighter so that he could carry it as a key chain. This opened up a whole range of modifications, and he was keen to share them with the rest of the prepping community.
