Accumulating the “perfect” survival kit or bug-out bag is a pricey proposition unless you get creative.

Creative does not mean sacrificing quality – it means shopping for survival gear where it may not be obvious and always being on the lookout for a bargain.

As you see from the video, your survival gear does not have to break the bank.

A couple of tips: Most flea market stuff is at best well used – inspect it carefully and try it out before you buy it.

Shop yard sales primarily in the early spring – that is when divorces over the winter or deaths prompt people to “clean out the old” and that means getting great stuff at a bargain.

Hit yard sales again in the Fall as people tend to discount stuff to get rid of it as opposed to storing it for another Winter.
