Watch Lilly and her pooch work hard on an ingenious raised bed that will keep a body from the cold hard ground during the worst of weather conditions! It’s not the easiest survival apparatus to build but well worth it!
While the finished project may not look altogether comfortable, once Lilly lays down whatever type of mattress she develops, whether from twigs, leaves, or dragging her sleeping bag from home, it will be superior to lying on the damp ground.
This is an awesome idea from a gal who knows her way around survival tools and the wilderness!

If you have to put that much effort into building this bed be sure that you have enough food to eat to keep up your energy for all of the calories burned. Otherwise, excellent concept. Being elevated off of wet cold ground will certainly make you feel better. You could always dig a pit under the platform to place coals from a fire to help warmth. A few coals with a thin layer of dirt to prevent flaming up will provide some heat.
I think it would’ve been easier to remove the debris first.
