Many of the things people stockpile are stockpiled simply because other people say they should stock up on them. This means that a lot of money gets tied up in an area that you may not actually see yourself using very often when SHTF, or may actually no longer be viable when that time comes.

It's easy to see why these suggestions could rub a lot of people the wrong way; nearly every one of these suggestions is equally urged as a thing you SHOULD stock up on by other preppers. The logic is strong, though.

Bleach only lasts so long, so unless you are using it often and cycling through your supply before SHTF, it probably won't do you much good and may even compromise your health when you finally do need it.

The same goes for gasoline and batteries, which many people stockpile but rarely cycle through on a regular basis; they have a shelf life, and there are many more viable options that will serve you better in the long haul.

Finally, his suggestion on stockpiling flour, not raw wheat, is spot on. Why would you want to give yourself extra work to do?

This is some great advice that is worth a lot of consideration.
