After all, if you forget a key resource or the materials you've stockpiled have reached their expiration and can no longer be used, it's not like you can simply head down to the store and get everything you need in the middle of a crisis.
For this reason, there are countless articles, websites, and companies catering to this very topic, and many of them are offering suggestions as to what is good to stockpile and what isn't.
Oftentimes, the things people are most likely to stockpile are the things they see themselves using in their daily life, which is excellent advice but can backfire spectacularly when they fail to make a note of how long the shelf-life of these items is.
