A pretty good rule of thumb is that if the US federal government says something is a threat – or rather, if they admit something is a threat – it is likely a much more dire situation than said government wants to concede.
That said, the federal government – multiple agencies including our military – have ceded that one major threat to life as we know it is an Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP.)
Whether by intent (terrorism, nuclear detonation) or happenstance (EMP damage from something like a comet or meteorite,) an EMP event would alter our lives as we know it.
In such an event, one major challenge will be transportation. Most of our vehicles now are so reliant on electrical components and computers that if an EMP rendered them useless, they would be little more than hunks of plastic, metal and rubber.
To learn what to look for in a vehicle to ensure it is as EMP proof as possible, check out the next page.

Jokes on you$#%&!@*my Bicycles dont need protection! Low Tech for the win.
And everyone will want to take it!
Yeah, and it only takes ONE CAR breaking down, to make the roads impassable
We pull start big rigs all day long
Drive a non computerized old truck with heavy bumpers.
Joe Messenlehner don’t be…200 miles down the road and he’s looking for diesel. Living to keep fuel flowing.

This is hilarious. You just instructed these people how to destroy a vehicle and make it rot but not one useful piece of information.
All the vehicles stranded on all roads. Lol. YOUR NOT USING A VEHICLE WE HAVE HORSES READY
Maria Neilsen
That was pretty bad and useless info

If you are only one of a very very few vehicles operating, you will surely become a target. Prepare for that. They will do anything to get your vehicle.
Buy a old bad$#%&!@*ride and you’re good. Mine’s ready for the war.
….module in the HEI will kill the distributor Albert. Cummins with mechanical injection is the ultimate doomsday ride. Just make sure it has a manual trans for push starting
Faraday box. Dist and fresh battery.
Wonder if it would kill the battery? I thought EMP only affected small circuits
Japan seemed to work fine after we smoked two major cities so a lot of the talk is just talk.
They started it
Dude I’m not a freak about prepping. I know how to live in a lot of circumstances that normal people quit and die. The circuits on my truck are very minimal. I does have an HEI but I can get an older one pretty easy. Theory and actual things are two thing entirely not the same.
We started drinking btw
Get a Horse.
Nice dodge…
Dodge M37 or M43.
I don’t think you wanna be with a vehicle that is the only functional vehicle around? Everybody is going to want to take it from you!!!
Will survive an EMP blast
A good, old-fashioned diesel with 4WD and a stick would be perfect. If not a truck then something with A LOT of trunk space.
Nothing new…
Must be a old school coil and starter ingnision to work.shortwave radio stations will work but with some limits only AM stations.
i really need an ad blocker……………………………………………………………………………..
Even if you can keep the vehicle running what do you plan to do about not being able to buy gas? All the pumps are electronic.
Lol
Jeremiah Stroud
Im sure we can get into tanks, underneath
All you post now is click bait bullshit.$#%&!@*your page
Joel Jass Good point.
You lost me after page 4, I know you guys make money selling add space but this could have been put on 1 page.
Kipp West you got this covered
And if you don’t know how to maintain & tuneup the engine you’d better learn how or know someone who does because many mechanics these days don’t know jack about points, condensers, teach or dwell.
Uhhh, your vehicle is already protected from an emp, electricity takes the path of least resistance which means it will not get further than the shell especially being that everything is grounded in a car.

It’s more complicated than your comment.
Only if you make it.
How does EMP effect a vehicle?
