This Easy Way to Spearfish Will Help You Catch Fish Fast Using an Ancient Skill!

spearfishing

This is a skill that is impossible to master, particularly in the United States. In the United States it's illegal for most people, with the exception of registered Native Americans, to spearfish. Without the ability to practice beforehand, you should keep this in mind when assessing your ability to perform this skill when you find yourself in dire straits. To learn the essentials behind the method watch the video below.

There's a reason not many people participate in this ancient method of fishing anymore: it's insanely difficult. Getting it right the first time just doesn't happen, and by the time you've speared a fish, you may have spent more energy hunting the creature than you will get from eating it.

This is an essential note to take away from this, as the idea of acquiring food is to replenish the energy we've spent. If we spend more energy catching the food than we can get from it, we may need to reconsider our methods. That said, this was a method used for thousands of years. If you can get it right, and get it right quickly, it's a reliable skill to have.

I use a small flat pebble. When one hits, the pebble dislodges and the tines close. Binding them seems like a bad idea.
    Cut spurs in each tine.

I`d use a plug of wood to spread the tines, nothing portruding outside them to catch or deflect the blow
