Check below for some sincerely awesome survival shelters. Did we say this survivalist worked over-time and cleverly to construct his shelters? We think we were being a little too conservative with that description!

But what if you’re interested in roughing it? Like really, really roughing it? Some outdoor enthusiasts have found ways to use only tools found in nature to create shelter, like this wilderness whiz did in the U.K.

Kevin Langan started a project on his blog entitled 100 Wild Huts, where he is attempting to build 100 small survival shelters, spending the night inside of each. For the construction of his shelters, Kevin is determined to only use natural resources and a small hatchet.

Saying that we think this is amazing is an understatement. Kevin Langan has made his point and in a very self-sacrificing and ingenious way. There are many ways to create shelter, even if your only tool is a knife, out in the wilderness. No, they are not all going to be comfortable but, if nothing else, they will be serviceable!

And let’s face it if you are bugging-out but do not have a ready-made shelter at your disposal you may very well have to create your own in a number of crazy ways! Above were just a few!

I am impressed. It does not have to be the Trump tower, but it must do the job of allowing one to greet another dawn. I remember building some huts, or forts, like these when I was a young man. You are only limited by your body limitations and your imagination!
