Residents never thought they would see the overflow from their local phenomena again but it just goes to show you should never say never! It is actually called The Monticello Dam Spillway, just west of Sacramento, but friends and fans simply call it “The Glory Hole”!

The spillway hadn’t seen water since 2006 but because California experienced some especially wet weather in 2016 and early 2017 the water started spilling into its iconic hole once again! You can just imagine how excited residents were at the spectacle!

The world-famous “Glory be!”, as its fans like to shout as they pass, spillway at Lake Berryessa is now overflowing for the first time in a long time and we are fortunate enough – through the lens of an extraordinary flying drone – to see some amazing detail like never before! It is fabulous and even a little scary to behold.

After the break go to the next page and watch an impressive drone video – and view some cool photos as well. This with a truly rock’in soundtrack show just how inspiring and celebrated this event was and is!
