If you would like to see it for yourself there is some great tourist information included in the following video. Instead of “rain, rain go away …” we’d like to think of it as nature coming back to itself! It is the rain that caused this exciting and visual news story!

The wonders of nature never cease to amaze us. Who knew a lot of rain could cause such a thrill for one and all!  Actually, the Glory Hole reminds us of “the pit of no return” and is just as eerie! However, it is also fascinating to behold!

It was June 28, 2006, when the lake level was at its highest. Then, sometime in January 2017, the level really started to rise and people began to talk about the possibility of overflow. Finally, it happened!

One thing is for sure, the residents of the area are thrilled and honored. Many considering the Glory Hole part of their city’s cultural heritage!
