Americans, even fiscally responsible Americans, are infamous for not saving and spending a lot and ending up in debt.

Almost all of us have some sort of debt and while most of us are able to manage both the debt and immediate needs, not everyone does and that reality can hurt a person's ability to adequately get the survival materials, equipment and supplies they need.

For those who do not, they are in a tough spot.
