It is never too early to begin teaching your kids basics in self-sufficiency and survival!

Kids are sponges and like just about everything, what you impart to them and imprint upon them now will last a lifetime!

Given that natural and manmade disasters are not likely ever to be eradicated or banished from the human experience, the earlier you can teach them the basics of survival, the better their chances are they will be able to use them successfully.

In many ways, you already do that!

You teach them not to talk to strangers. You teach them how to get out of the house if there is ever a fire. You teach them that they have to eat right and rest to be at their best.

Why would basic survival skills be any different?
