We live in a highly disposable society; stuff that you used to wash and reuse, fix or restore we now mostly throw away in favor of buying a newer model of the old version.

If you doubt that, walk around your house and list how many things are disposable – be it once you use it you throw it away or once it breaks you get a new one.

Time was, everything was made better and more sturdy or it was reused or repaired if it broke.

Our disposable society would be useless if we were faced with a SHTF moment or survival situation.

In fact, all of us would have to relearn basic skills and a new way of life, particularly if the survival situation extended over a long period of time.
