A good saw is one of the more useful tools to have at your disposal when SHTF. It will prove useful when constructing your shelters, clearing land for gardening or raising livestock, building fencing to protect your property, and will also serve a multitude of other purposes that are only limited by your imagination.
One problem with a lot of saw designs is that they're bulky and awkward to carry, particularly if you also need to take all of your other gear on your back, as well.
