Emergency Housing in a survival incident or in its aftermath can be a real challenge unless you are blessed enough to have a place of refuge that can survive whatever is thrown at it.
Between the cost of building, land and associated expenses, even a simple survival bug-out house can get very pricey.
Throughout history, however, various groups of people have created housing for themselves using the barest of materials and have used those materials in very innovative designs.
While most were pretty primitive, at least in design, with adaptation, anyone can modify a type of dwelling to handle modern conveniences with proper planning and design.
Best of all, almost all of them are very low cost and only require “elbow grease” to construct!
