An Amazing (if Not the Best) Rifle a Person Can Buy Under $100

rifle

In this day and age, when finding a good hunting knife for under one hundred dollars ($100) is a bargain, it is the rare prospect to find a good rifle for the same price. Granted, a rifle for under two hundred dollars may not be the best but the one we want to talk with you about is pretty darn astonishing!

Let’s be honest, some of us have to be a little more thrifty than others when it comes to survival. There is nothing wrong with that. We cannot tell you how often we have made trips to the dollar store to pick up supplies.

Truthfully, if we had it in us to drop five hundred dollars on a good solid weapon we would do it without recrimination. But, right now, we have rent to pay, families to provide for, and while we are prepping we are also forced to be economical with the way we do it.

So, finding that awesome one hundred dollar rifle is a blessing!

After the break, go over to the next page and read up on a firearm that, while it may not be the best according to some, it still is pretty amazing and should not to be dismissed!

I’d take a pump action mossberg with buckshot anytime over what you just said.

Someone’s behind the times, milsurplus rifles running 300+ these days and you wonder why it’s better off to buy new.

Buying a rifle is half the expense- the other half is feeding it. To become proficient with a gun – you should run several hundred rounds of ammo through it. 7.62 x 54 is still pretty cheap and you can stock pile it much cheaper than other commercial calibers. This gun is a tough rifle and virtually indestructible- if you are starting out and on a budget-a good way to go.

I own one. Not endorsing M-N for that specific reason. Any 30-30 or 30-06 is a better choice.

In this photo I’m carrying a 1983 side by side 30-30 / 12 gauge. Short, easy to carry and ammo available everywhere!

This article is incorrect. There was only one site in the last 6months that had them at this price, but they sold out of their last stock like 2months ago.

  11. John Ward said:

So who did you copy the article from? They haven’t been $100 for a few years.

Not all but most will never shoot straight and reliable at 100 yards…

Any corner store that has four boxes of ammo has 22’s, 12 gauge, 30/30 and 30/06. 30/30 is probably the most common big bore in the U. S. Not the best big bore, perhaps, but the most common.

Been over a decade that these have been under $100. $250 is a reasonable price for a working one now.

I have one of these guns and I had several of them they’re reliable as long as you clean them and the ammo is Affordable just stock up

I bought a Mauser Argentino 1891 the other day for 150. I was a little worried about finding the 7.65×53 rounds, but it turns out that you can order them cheap from several places.

I agree with buying a more modern caliber/rifle combination. If your just wanting to build up a bunch of old military rifles that’s one thing. But if you just want a rifle for shooting, hunting, security, then spend just a few dollars more and get *any* new (or used, the Mosin is certainly used) modern rifle in (pick your favorite) 30/30, 30.06, 308, 270, 243, just to name a few and you can buy good ammo “everywhere”

No … Just No… It is a fun gun. But a real rifle, Get Training, Practice Training, Wear out real rifle, Replace with upgraded rifle.

Maybe back in the 90s u could buy a mosin for under a $100,matter of fact I got my first for 48dollars but now there 200 to 300 dollars

  21. James Stamper said:

Five years ago you could get the Chinese version of the Mosin Nagant (shorter barrel carbine) for $100. But a hex receiver mosin nagant is currently going for about $600.

Old article. They aren’t that cheap anymore. I love iron sights. Great for teaching.

    I bought an Enfield 303 for $ 100 bucks about 20 years ago .

  24. Paul J Bucksbee said:

Id much rather have my 30/30 marlin in my hands over a mosin any day. Shorter, faster action as well as what you stated about ammo.

  25. William Mizerak said:

I wouldn’t carry one of those things. Ammo would be bell to find if everything went to crap. I’ll take one of my ars. Either in 5.56, or 308. Probably one of each actually, lol
